Multi-level Supply Chain Inventory Management Research

Inventory management is an important part of the supply chain management, which is the key both to exert collaboration and to perform the integrated management. In the model of supply chain, the relationship of its members is not only collaborative, but also competitive. The multi-echelon inventory management is between the enterprises of supply chain. Therefore, further studies on the multi-echelon inventory management of supply chain have the theoretical and realistic significance.The paper has done the further research to the three kinds of supply chain inventory management techniques contains vendor managed inventory, joint managed inventory and collaborative,planning, forecasting and replenishment on the base of single inventory management analysis and inventory conception; And have analyzed their range of application, steps of implement, advantage and disadvantage. Next, in view of above primarily described the supply chain multi-echelon inventory management condition by the qualitative way, the paper has done the further research to the two-echelon inventory system constituted several vendors and several retailers by the quantitative analysis; The supply chain inventory model which the retailers short supply and price discount were permitted is set up and calculated the example analysis; The results of calculation indicate supply chain can improve profit and overall order quantity greatly. Finally, in order to realize the supply chain inventory management with intellectuality and integration, multi-Agent system are introduced into the supply chain inventory management, and the supply chain inventory management model based on multi-Agent system is set up. the six kinds of agents' function which the model contains,advantage and working mechanism of movie agent and multi-agent system have been analyze. The model can implement optimum management in the multi-echelon inventory management of supply chainthrough multi-Agent systems and Mobile Agent.
