With the development of mobile communication and wireless Internet, and the rapid increase in the number of mobile communication users as well as the expansion of mobile commerce (m-commerce), the future development of m-commerce is promising, and it is playing an increasing important role in an information time. M-commerce is no long an extension of fixed electronic commerce (e-commerce), but an independent area of developing and applying technology. It is also a new industry with its own unique feature and inherent characteristics from both mobile communication and Internet.To act as a very important application model of e-commerce, in China, C2C (consumer to consumer) has got a greatly rapid development in recent years. The C2C e-commerce platforms, such as Taobao, eBay China, have created more than 10 billion Yuan business volume in 2005. The new emerging mobile technologies, e.g. mobile IP, IMMS, 3G, the development of mobile terminals, e.g. high-end mobile telephone, PDA, the popularization of mobile communication,the gradually decreasing of mobile services charge and change of the people's consumption pattern by slow degrees provided the good foundation for mobile C2C e-commerce model's application and expansion.This paper analyses the major features, functions and market influence of m-commerce and C2C e-commerce, and brings forward a new model of C2C based on m-commerce platform according to both domestic and overseas development and practical application of m-commerce. It further clarifies the technological structure, technical process and other related issues of mobile e-commerce. As a result, it shows that the development of mobile C2C is not only urgently needed, but also is technically feasible and operative. At the same time, its great commercial value and social value are proved based on the marketing research study of that e-business mode.
