Random Demand Depends On The Price Of Three Supply Chain Coordination With Contracts

Being one of the important coordination mechanisms for supply chain, supply cha- in contracts have been being always focused on by academia, firms. Specially, research on supply chain contracts has been developed rapidly because of increasing demand un- certainty, market competition and economic globalization. In order to deal with the co- mplex market circumstance, the retailer shall decide retail price and order quantity sim- ultaneously. Contrasting to single order quantity decision, this results with more difficu- lty for coordinating supply chain with contracts.The dissertation brings forward supply chain contract-coordination system and in- troduces all the parts of the syetem. Thinking of price-dependent demand, the disserta- tion research the coordination in a three-level supply chain with contracts by the relative knowledge of the game theory, optimality theory and so on. The dissertation focuses on how to select the best supply contract firstly and then analyses the contract using the profit from returns policy as the reservation profit. The result shows that the returns policy can't coordinate the supply chain, but the appropriate price discount contract can do that and the returns policy and the supply chain structure restrict the contract flexibility extent together. The result has lots of theoretic, practical significance for providing a deeper understand to returns policy, price-discount contract and the supply chain structure.The summary of innovations in this dissertation is as following:(1) Give a systematic understand to coordinating the supply chain with contracts. The dissertation builds the supply chain contracts coordinatiing system consisting of the basic framework, the system structure and the coordination mechanism. This is useful for us to understand and solve the questions about supply chain coordination with contrcts systematically.(2) Make the research about how to select the contracts. An existent literature usually involves a kind of contract and don't explain why one firm should select the contract but another one. The dissertation provides a primary explanation for this by analysing the characters of the contracts and compares them.
