Study Of International Tourist City Index System

International tourist city is the production of both city and tourism internationalization. From the 1970s,many cities possessing attractable factors such as rich travel resources,well-planned transportation and modern infrastructure became international tourist city step by step through developing international tourism industry. Under the development of international tourism industry in our country, many domestic famous cities aim at becoming an international tourist city. In the process of realize the higher object, we need to solve the problems"What is international tourist city? How to evaluate the degree of city tourism internationalization."Now many domestic experts and scholars start research on these problems ,but most of them adopt qualitative methods. Based upon a systematic review of the latest achievements in the research on international tourist city, the thesis brings forward a set of 102 indicators for evaluation. After a consultation with 31 experts, the author uses Delphi and actor analysis as tools to identify effective indicators and thus develops an International Tourist City Indicator Framework. The framework consists of 3 themes and 10 sub-themes, containing a total of 41 indicators. The 3 themes are the Develppment of International Tourism Industry, International Tourism Supporting System and International Tourism Environment.The 10 sub-themes include Tourism Attraction,International Tourism Economy,Development of Intemational Tourism Industry,the Marketing of International Tourism, the Accessibility of City, Service of Finance and Communication, Support of Government, Entironment of City,Public Security of City,Language Environment, Civilization of City Residents. Analytic Hierarchy Process is used to work out the weight of each of the 41 indicators.For a case study, the international tourist city indicator framework is used to assess the Sanya city.Afer evaluation of Sanya by method of fuzzy synthetic decision,the thesis put forward the key behavior fields for international tourism development of sanya.
