Based on the analysis of air freight market and data, the thesis gives some suggestions on the future of International Air Freight Forwarders of China (abbr. Air Freight Forwarders).Air Freight Forwarders is an indispensable segment of the overall international air freight value chain. For both shippers and airlines, it brings them convenience and benefit.Owing to the differences of characters, networks and roles among these forwarders in the market, their development strategies are all unlike with each other. Air Freight Forwarders have experienced from planned economy to market one in these years. Since there are kinds of enterprises, which have different corporate competitiveness, their ways of progress will be surely different.Like international counterparts, Air Freight Forwarders have encountered two critical factors, air cargo weight and airline berth supply, which shall lead to their distinct marketing modes.Besides the first hand data, there are value chain theory and Potter competitive strategy theory which are used in this thesis.Air Freight Forwarders can choose several ways to grow, such as Horizontal integrations, Vertical integrations, Submarket, Courier etc.
