With the entry into WTO and the economic and financialdevelopment, national commercial banks have encountered more andmore risks home and abroad. And Credit Risk has always been consideredas one of the most important key risks for Chinese Banking System.Having depicted the history and current situation of the Credit RiskManagement (hereinafter referred to as the "CRM"), this article analyzesthe major problems and associated reasons detail by detail.The article is composed of four parts with almost 18 thousand words.Section Two provides general picture of the CRM, including how theconcept and nature of the CRM are defined, and how it develops in China.Section three gives a brief analysis of the CRM problem. Section fourstands at the core of the article. Given the situation of the CRM in China,it introduces the Internal Rating-Based Approach (IRB) from Basel Ⅱ toCRM, and shows us some of his views.
