'Encouraging the Human Resource' or 'Employee motivation' in an enterprise is an eternal and challenging subject. With the onset of Global integration and knowledge of economics, developing vigor and encouraging people has become a major concern for the progress of the enterprise. Addressing these personnel problems has become an important factor to lead a successful enterprise. However, many problems related to 'human resource encouragement' exist, in order to keep pace with the fast economic development of our country and the ideology of the people. Furthermore, the concept of 'Human Resource Development', in our country, has evolved lately and falls behind of the modern time. Therefore, many enterprises fail to utilize the enthusiasm and potential of their work force. The thesis makes a systematic analysis and study of HRD (Human Resource Development) system and related problems and on the basis of this study, designs an HRD program.The purpose of the thesis is to probe into upholding principles and adopting patterns and methods of employee motivation and provide basis and reference for formulating a policy for HRD. The thesis first discusses related problems of motivation, makes a good comment on the theory of motivation. The thesis also analyzes and compares the current situations of motivation system at home and abroad and points out the problems of employee motivation in our country. Then the thesis gives a brilliant exposition of enterprise performance of evaluation system and puts forward its idea that performance of evaluation system and employee motivation system must be designed as a whole. The thesis finally designs the patterns of salary structure, staff welfare & retention plans, incentives and annual salary increment system and sets up a common pattern of employee motivation.As a matter of fact, the design of employee motivation system is multi-activity, multi-faceted project involving welfare, performance of evaluation system, control system, enterprise culture development, organizational goal setting and consideration of personnel factors.To analyze and study the problems related to employee motivation, all the theorieshave been used comprehensively, supported by a large number of diagrams and case histories. The thesis also utilizes 'method of comparative analysis' to design the proposition. The thesis absorbs many advanced management theories, posses some advanced experiences, gives a deeper and richer understanding of motivation system and its importance in context to the employee motivation system of our country and is of momentous theoretical significance.The first part of the thesis introduces the background, significance, concept of motivation, process, types and its functions. Then it discusses the theory at home and abroad.The second part introduces the current situation of our country's employee motivation system and systematically analyzes the prevailing problems.The third part depicts a comparative analysis, home vs. abroad.The fourth part comprehensively explains related contents of designing performance of evaluation system and puts forward its idea that performance of evaluation system and employee motivation system must be designed as a whole.The fifth part introduces encouraging system's design principle, design patterns, style of motivation and motion model. It also compiles analytical study of salary structure, incentive based motivation and annual-salary increment system and then designs a common pattern.The sixth part analyzes and studies the whole project and finally gives several suggestions on employee motivation.
