The thesis is an example of a corporation's business diagnosis. It expatiates upon the elementary theory and means of the business diagnosis by analyze the situation of H company: a small manufacturing company, and give the suggestion for solving the problem.First of all, in section one briefly the author introduces the background of establishment and development of the company; point out the problems the company met and the necessity of the business diagnosis. Then as a theoretic base of the whole study, in section two the author makes a brief introduction of the theory, meaning, goal and the method of business diagnosis, the definition of small and medium company and the limitation in management, the characteristic and contents of business diagnosis. In section three the author makes analysis to H company by the correlative theory of business diagnosis that used for small and medium company. Fist using of Z-model to make a preliminary analysis of the whole situation of H company. Then define the position of H company in industry by introducing standard value analysis to compare the calculate result of the 12 data among four sorts of fiscal index with the similar company in state range. Last, by analyzing the result of questionnaire, the author point out the existence of problem in strategy, corporation culture, human resource, production management and R&D. In section four, the author makes classified business diagnosis base on the above-mentioned five areas, and works out the cause of the problems and the harms it brought. Section five gets the conclusion that the unclear strategy and the lack of capital are the main problems of the H company, thus, the author gives suggestions on making clear strategy, absorbing funds by capital operation, improving the operating process, enhancing employee training and assessing and advancing company image.The investigation of H company here is actually a process of comprehensive business diagnosis. The analysis is in a certain sense of universality because it emphasizes the common problems of small and medium company. During analyzing, the author not only use qualitative analysis but also quantitative analysis to make the result more scientific; in the respect of the content, it includes holisticanalysis as well as classified analysis, so the purpose is more focused and the key points are more stressed. Because the author also gives the positive suggestions to solve the problem, so the thesis is dose hit the target for healing the company. The clear process of analysis base on a large amount of real data is the most distinct specialty.
