Shipping And Logistics System Integration

With the acceleration of Economy Globalization, Multinational Corporation emerges in multitude and international trade increases quickly; meanwhile, it also promotes the development of international logistics. As the core of international logistics, shipping becomes the emphasis of research. It's getting very competitive in the shipping market. Aiming to get the competitive advantage, most of the big shipping companies focus on integrating their logistics resource and shipping logistics system. Though the speedy development of shipping logistics industry in our country, there are still low jumping-off, weak base, management draggle etc. weakness, so the shipping company cannot supply high level logistics service to customer and satisfy their need. In this instance, studying how to establish a particular, efficacious, integrated shipping logistics system under our country's actuality is the core of the development of modern shipping company.In this paper, we treat the modern shipping logistics system as a whole, under the guidance of system and logistics integrate theory, the systems engineering's math method and model and optimizing funds flow method in finance are used to study how to integrated the shipping logistics system. First we integrate the material flow; funds flow and information flow concretely, and then integrate the three flows into a relational, interdependent and interactional system, establishing an integrated shipping logistics system. This paper is organized into six chapters.Chapter one is modern logistics and shipping logistics. First introducing the definition, development and function of modern logistics, and then analyzing the status of shipping in modern logistics. At last, we give the conception and significance of shipping logistics.Chapter two is background and strategy of shipping logistics integration. First analyzing the background of modern shipping logistics integration, and then arguing the drive factors of promoting the integration. At last discussing the integrate strategy, indicated that we must rightly cogitate the integrative theories.Chapter three to five are emphasis of this paper, which leads reader to research the integration from material flow, fund flow and information flow. Using the systems engineering's math method and optimizing funds flow method in finance to research the integration. We also give several cases to explain thepractical application.Chapter six is the kernel of this paper, which leads reader to the integration of modern shipping logistics system. All the discussions before are presented from a certain local aspect. In this chapter, first discussing the principle of the integration, then indicating the goal and model of the integration combined with the character of shipping logistics system. At last, we present the conclusion of this paper.
