| Based on global irreplaceable strategic position of the Middle East's petroleum, focus on their own domestic energy demand and the need to safeguard their own supremacy, the United States established the Middle East oil strategy for the purpose to dominate. The essence and deeper strategic objective reality is trying to shake off its dependence on Middle East's petroleum for one-way status, and so that the relations between the two sides will change from the "two-way dependence" to the Middle East's petroleum's one-way asymmetric dependence to the United States. In this realization process, "petroleum dollars mechanism" is the core content, and strategic oil reserves and war, the strategies which subordinate to "petroleum dollars mechanism", are supporting and consolidating "petroleum dollars mechanism", and those all three are indispensable. The strategy is not only the demand of guaranteeing the United States' own energy security, and also the most necessary strategy to consolidate its hegemony over the Middle East's petroleum and to expand its superiority as the world's sole superpower. Therefore, the United States strategy in the Middle East's Petroleum can be said to be strategy-based of its "imperial hegemony". But its strategic goal, which is "Get hegemony over the Middle East's Petroleum first, then get hegemony in the whole world", is to be encountered all kinds of obstacles. Either the spread "anti-American" within the Middle East region or the contenders which are other major political and economic powers, or urgent need of energy in developing countries urgently, or terrorist attacks with poor predictability, etc. These will cause many variables in the process of the implementation of the U.S. oil strategy in the Middle East, impeding its realization.
