Chinese Tea Industry Comparative Advantage Situation And The Development Of Countermeasures Study

Tea was considered as one of the products that were much alive with Chinesecharacter together with silk and porcelain. As the origin of tea, the development ofChina's tea industry has been proved as the most thriving advantageous industry afteryears' experience of up and down. Having entered WTO, the tea industry embraced ahistoric opportunity and unprecedented challenge. On the base of analyzing theproduction and trade, the thesis examined the comparative advantage status of teaindustry by the means of revealed comparative advantage and linear regression, foundthe factors supporting the advantage, and pointed out the problems according tocurrent development of production and trade. In order to help China's tea industry tothrive again earlier, the thesis also put forward some relative measures forimprovement, which are rich in value of reference to production and trade. In the end,the thesis summarized features of the industry, looked through various risks in thefuture development, and optimistically forecast the great change for China's tea froma productive one to a powerful one.
