The topics about bank credit are concerns of both Chinese and foreign economists. In China, economists mainly focus on the internal management about bank credit like risk management and bank credit securitization. The field like external influences on bank credit catches little attention. But actually, as the important part of monetary policy instrument, the change in interest rate can affect the size of bank credit as well as the entire social economic development. Interest rate is also China's most popular economic instrument. Thus, it's meaningful for us to research on interest rate's influence on bank credit. Many foreign studies had already focused on this field. And this dissertation will research on the sensitivity of bank credit to the change in interest rate. There are in all six parts in this dissertation. The first chapter is the introduction about this dissertation's research background, method and opinions. The following chapter is a general introduction of Chinese and foreign studies on bank credit field. In order to make preparation for further research, the third chapter briefly introduces about present scale of bank credit and main factors that can make significant influence on it. This dissertation introduces three factors: GDP, social credit environment and government policies. And about the deposit rate and lending rate, because of their essential status in the dissertation, the forth chapter focuses on them in more profound level. The fifth chapter is data analysis. The data we analyses is each quarter's bank credit and deposit and lending rate difference. Through linear regression analysis, we prove that the change in deposit and lending rate difference has significant influence on bank credit. And by the method of elasticity analysis, we describe the influence in the form of quantity. At last, the dissertation concludes all the analysis results in the conclusion part.
