Highway Operation Cost Control

This paper presents a thorough study of the cost control in expressway operating company, with the purpose to control the cost effectively and to improve its management and economic performance.Firstly, the author introduces the cost and cost control theory, then analyzes the characteristics of its cost items with the statistics on the actual cost of expressway operating company.Secondly, the author decides to mainly use the object cost control method through the comparison among the advanced cost control methods in the world, and then builds a cost control system including cost confirming, cost planning, cost controlling and cost reporting, cost checking and analysis on the base of this method.In the end, the author describes the effective approaches and auxiliary safeguard mechanism for cost control, expecting to control the cost effectively, accordingly to maximize the profits of the expressway operating company and to improve its economic performance with these measures.
