Now not only the quantity of land averaged to great population is lacking, which indicates that the contradiction between man and land is outstanding; but also the reserved land resource suitable for cultivation is insufficient in china. With the progressing of society, the increasing of population, the rapid development of industrialization and urbanization, human beings are demanding more and more land resource. So, how to maintain the harmony of the exploiting and utilizing of land resource and the increasing of population has become an urgent problem related to the survival and development of human beings. Land consolidation is being notice as one of the available keys to the sustainable utilization of land. Our country's land consolidation has just begun, but already got certain effect. At present, we mainly do about rural land consolidation. The object of rural land consolidation broadens the quantity of land in the most regions, compensates built-up area. that is not based on the sustainable development. This paper researches mainly about rural land consolidation potentiality and probes into land consolidation working mode in developed region of Danyang, the author discusses the following issues:The whole paper includes several parts:Part 1: At first, the author scientifically studies abroad and domestic land consolidation developing state and reviews its history in the world, summarizes its developing disciplinarian, and studies land consolidation of several representative countries and ours, following that, the paper studies the theory foundation of land consolidation, and analyzes the theory basis of land consolidation, at last, the content is about affect and purpose of land consolidation.Part 2: As a case of Danyang city, the paper introduces the land resource of study area using multi-resources satellite imageries. At the same time the author achieves these reasons of rural land consolidation.Part 3: Study on the index system of rural land consolidation potentiality, the paper compares the indexes before and the actual fact of Danyang, I arrive at the scores and three levels of land consolidation potentiality. At the same time, the author discusses the layout of space in Danyang city.Part 4: Based on the results of rural land consolidation potentiality analyzed before, Analysis on the pattern of rural land consolidation in developed region of Danyang city of jiangsu province is discussed. The paper puts forward to implement the land consolidation pattern of system run , invests complication and industrialization management.Part 5: The author puts forward some practical measures about the land consolidation based on the sustainable development.
