| Over the last decade, the society has been brought intothe information age by the Internet’s global popularity, the constant appearance of the commercial application based on Internet has lead consumers to cyberspace. Bothtraditional and emerging companies have been exploring the use of the Internet to expand the market, to carry out commercial operations.In this paper, the development situation about the electronic commerce and the furniture industry in e-commerce will be analyzed, combined with the actual investigation and analysis, the main factors consumers currently concern in the process of buying furniture; the design method of solid wood furniture and panel furniture will beintroduced, to research whether the method of manufacturing process is suitable for the e-commerce market sales model. Through analysis and comparison of domestic and foreign popular e-commerce furniture products, this paper will give the conclusion that the furniture products adapting to the e-commerce sales model should contain simple shapes, optimized structure, sturdy and strong quality, variety of materials and other characteristics. In addition, from the design level and the level of design management, this paper will introduce a new design method, combined with the concept of systematic design and service design, putting forward the design concept should consider the users’needs, pay attention to the users’ experience; The author is of the opinion to use more alternative materials, improved structure, improved packaging, provision of good prerequisites for logistics, combined integrated design of the product promotion and after-sale services, thereby providing a advantageous reference and theoretical basis for the application of e-commerce furniture design. This study aims to be a stepping stone of e-commence furniture design theory, so that this emerging issue will get more attention from furniture theory researchers. |
