| In Recent Years, with the rapid development of the national economy, Income gaps among the different regions and the urban and rural areas are increasingly expanding.In the new normal economy, For a region and a country, technological innovation has become a decisive factor in the development process. Whether technological innovation will affect regional income gap or not?How much will the technological innovation affects the regional income gap?There is all-important significance in both theory and practice for conducting regional technological innovation policy and regional balanced development policy.For this, with technological innovation activities in large and medium-sized industrial enterprises as a starting point, this paper in three steps examines the relationship between the regional income gaps and two decisive indicators of technological innovation, namely, technological innovation efficiency and transformation rate of technological achievements. First, by means of theoretical analysis, this paper conducts a preliminary analysis of the relationship among the technological innovation efficiency of industrial enterprises, the transformation rate of technological achievements and the regional income gap. The result showed that there is an inverted "U" shaped relationship between the regional income gap and the technological innovation efficiency and the transformation rate of technological achievements in industrial enterprises. Then the paper assume that the region with high technology innovation efficiency and efficient transformation rate of technological achievements of The region with high technology innovation efficiency and efficient transformation rate of technological achievements has a faster convergence speed for the regional income gap than other areas has a faster convergence speed for the regional income gap than other areas The second step is to use the SFA model to calculate and analyze the technological innovation efficiency and transformation rate of technological achievements of industrial enterprises. The result shows that the above two indicators are significantly lower in the large and medium-sized industrial enterprises in different regions. This mainly results from irrational allocation of resources, unreasonable use of investment for innovation and ineffective transformation of achievements. Thirdly, this paper employs dynamic GMM model and treatment effect model to analyze the relationship among the technological innovation efficiency, the transformation rate of technological achievements of industrial enterprises and the regional income gap. The result demonstrates that there is an inverted ‘U’ shaped relationship between the regional income gap and the technological innovation efficiency and the transformation rate of technological achievements in industrial enterprises. The region with high technology innovation efficiency and efficient transformation rate of technological achievements of industrial enterprises has a faster convergence speed for the regional income gap than other areas. Then, for the above problems, this paper gives corresponding policy recommendations. |
