This paper presents an extraction method for gray image feature based on fuzzy clustering algorithm. This method can extract the image region anywhere you want. According to the user's subjective will, by mouse click in the gray image areas of interest, the computer can extract histogram features of the region and save it. Then scan the image in the sequence where all the pixels in the region and calculate and saved on histogram similarity between features based on fuzzy clustering algorithm. Finally extract the region to meet the requirements.This paper first introduces the characteristics of the gray image of the histogram analysis and fuzzy clustering algorithm steps through an example. Then describes the proposed method based on image feature extraction software design, including software flow chart and the key steps to achieve the detailed design ideas. At last, describes the function and use of the software process, presented different images, different parameters of feature extraction and compared the results of analysis to verify the correctness of the proposed feature extraction method and effectiveness.
