Clinical Information System is a collection of clinical information collection, storage, display and processing, provide medical services for paramedic and medical technician through medical services. It is not only the key to the construction of hospital information but also the important symbol of modernization of hospital information. It take the patient of medical information as center, and apply advanced equipment and technology ,and provide the computer consulting diagnosis and clinical decision making, etc, and improve the efficiency of paramedic's work and provide the faster, better, more comprehensive service for patient. The ultimate goal of the Clinical Information is to achieve complete information in the future, then the hospital can eliminate the manual mode of operation.Since the more business process of clinical activities and volatile requirements, the Clinical Information System with the character of large, complex, distinct personality and difficult integration. It is a challenge to the development of clinical information system no matter the collection of clinical information, standardization of clinical data, interconnection equipment, or multiple systems fusion.This paper take the clinical activity of a Grade III-A Hospital of Shan Xi as the research object, the paper's major work is as follows:Firstly, introduce the background of the development of clinical information system, foreign and domestic development situation and major problems. According to the clinical activity character of complex, variable, difficult integration, in this paper, applied the idea of design patterns to Object Oriented software design, and proposed the software development thinking based on design patterns.Secondly, introduce the basic theory of design patterns, Including the basic Concept of design patterns and elements, classification, Principle of design and analysis the meaning of using design patterns in the object oriented programming. Thirdly, analysis the process of clinical activity and Determine the objectives and function of the system, design the Conceptual Data Model and the Physical Data Model. Then design the system architecture and specific implementation, this system is divided into three layers, the three layers are presentation layer, business logic layer, data access layer. According to the function requirement of each layer, the design pattern is introduced into the system realization process.Lastly, introduces the design of authority management in Clinical Information System. According to the authority management requirement of user,design the expanding Role-Based Access Control based on the Role-Based Access Control, user authority management achieve flexibility and easy to Operation. All the work comply with the requirements of modern software engineering completely. After each work finished, we began to test system from two aspects of logic function and code logic respectively, tests show that this system of the basic data and aim can meet all demands.
