With the development of Optical Fiber Communications technology, space optical communication at 1550 nm takes up a weightily degree for future high speed satellite communication. Coupling space light into fiber is a key technology in receiving technology of Space Optical Communication. In this dissertation, base on the space optical communication platform, a coupling system of space light into fibre with the central wavelength located in 1550nm has been designed. The system has been realized by testing and analyzing.The main contents are as follows:1. A coupling system of space light into fibre was designed. Based on the space optical communication platform, the spatial light transmission characteristics has been Analyzed by drawing on system transfer matrix and ABCD law, besides a coupling system of space light into fibre with the central wavelength located in 1550nm has been studied and designed.2. The key technique of laser bean shaping was studied. The transmitter and receiver optical signal characteristics has been Analyzed, and the corresponding spatial light shaping system has been designed. For the transmitter, the design model was a group of orthogonal cylindrical lenses; for the receiving end, the design model was a non-spherical lens. The design systems have been simulated and optimized with ZEMAX software.3. The key technique of optical fiber coupling was researched. For the space optical communication system at 1550nm, optical fiber coupling system has been designed. The system, which used of the non-spherical optical lens to achieve the high coupling efficiency, has been simulation and optimization with MATLAB software.4. The coupling system of spatial light to optical fiber was tested. Based on the space optical communication platform, the spatial light shaping system and the fiber coupling system have been set up and tested. The factors affecting the coupling efficiency was analyzed, and some methods were proposed to effectively improve coupling efficiency. 5. Finally, for the multi-wave communication, the impacts of wavelength and incident angle to the coupling efficiency were analyzed.
