Ultra Wideband (UWB) time-domain antenna has been widely used in army and civilian use. The research on the UWB time-domain antenna is becoming more and more popular. To get the transient radiation characteristics of the UWB time-domain antennas and better comprehend the transmission process of the antennas, the time-domain numerical simulator is necessary.In this dissertation, a three-dimensional simulator for UWB time-domain antennas is developed. UWB time-domain antennas are designed and simulated.Firstly, the Multiresolution Time-Domain (MRTD) program is developed, which is based on the MRTD theory. It's proved that the program is right by simulating two examples.Secondly, In order to simulate the complex configuration accurately, the MRTD based on the conformal technique is developed. It's proved that the conformal technique of the MRTD is more precise than the conventional MRTD by using one example. Bow-tie based on a new broadband balun feed configuration is proposed. The MRTD simulator based on the conformal technique is applied to analyze the antenna. A UWB Vivaldi antenna is designed and analyzed by using the MRTD simulatior.Finally, MRTD program based on the lumped-loaded techniques is researched for the loaded antennas. The resistance-loaded bow-tie antenna is designed by using the MRTD simulatior. A new resistance-loaded Vivaldi antenna is proposed. The characteristics of time-domain antenna are investigated, such as transient pulse, time-domain pattern, pulse tail and so on. The pulse tail is inhibited efficiently by using resistance-loaded.
