Orotron using two mirrors to form opening cavity is an effective vacuum electronic device in millimeter and submillimeter wave bands. In recent years, much more attention is paid to study with the development of terahertz science and technology..In this dissertation, with the theoretical analysis and the simulation, electron gun and the quasi-optical resonator of Orotron are analyzed in the 300GHz frequency.Based on the principle of the electronic sheet beam and the principle of pierce gun, a new type electron gun with two anodes is designed. It is investigated detailed in two-dimensional and three-dimensional PIC simulation. The characteristic of the guan is that beam current is decided by the first anode voltage and will not affect by second anode voltage. The effect of the parameters of the electron gun on the output current are studied. Simulation results indicate that the output current is mainly affected by the voltage of the first anode and the distance between the cathode and the first anode, while is less affected by the distance between the cathode and the second anode, the voltage of the second anode, the aperture and thickness of the anodes. The increase of the longitudinal magnetic field is good to decrease the pulsation amplitude and the shape of the sheet beam. According to current technical conditions, 700mA output current and the corresponding current density 58A/cm~2 are obtained under the conditions of the cathode material work-function 1.4eV, cathode temperature 1100K, and the second anode voltage 10kV.The quasi-optical open resonator in 300GHz is designed with the theoretical analysis and the simulation. The electromagnetic field distribution between the mirrors and the vertical resonance length are deduced by the quasi-optics theory .The field distribution is calculated with the mode TEM00q, TEM01q and TEM02q. The side length of the square mirror is determined by the field distribution. Different q values corresponding to the resonance length L is studied with the mode TEM02q in the 300GHz frequency. Three-dimensional simulation model of the resonant is established and electric field pattern is obtained with the different resonator length. The results of simulation are in good agreement with that of the calculation.It is a good reference for further development on miniaturization vacuum elec- tronic devices on submillimeter or THz frequency.
