Nowadays network simulation has become one of the most important tools in the communication network research area. However with the rapid development of the scale of communication network, the capability of computing and storage in single PC is hard to meet the requirements of the large-scale network simulations for those network researchers. If we soak the parallel simulation technology into the network simulation study and fully use the parallel features of communication network to make multiple PCs work together for a single task, we can increase the efficient of simulation so to fulfill the purpose of large-scale network simulation. It's not only the hot research issue in the communication network simulation area, but also the main contents of this paper.At first we use the parallel features of those events in the communication network simulation area to develop a parallel simulation scheduling strategy for the parallel network simulator and it's also the first stage in the parallel simulation research. Our work includes:(1)Firstly, we analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of two popular parallel simulation scheduling strategy(conservative-scheduling, optimistic-scheduling), then we chose conservative-scheduling as our basis of scheduling strategy in this paper because of the difficulty to build the back off mechanism in the communication network simulation and it's not logically when back-off events happen in the communication network. (2) we proposed two scheduling strategies(central-arbitration scheduling and self-contact scheduling) in communication network simulation based on the conservative-scheduling. Then we modifying the existing serial network simulation scheduling based on the NS2, use self-contact scheduling as our parallel scheduling strategy in this paper. (3) we applied the parallel scheduling developing in this paper on the existed PNS(Parallel Network Simulation), using simulation result testify the feasibility of such a scheduling strategy.We also using MPI library for parallel execution and inter-process communication developed a framework for the parallel distributed DoS/DDoS Attack Detection System in telecommunications network aimed at the DoS/DDoS attacks in telecommunications network. Our work includes: (1)we analyzed the real-time requirements for the DoS/DDoS Attack Detection System in telecommunications network and designed a distributed framework for the detection system to make it can use multiple machine fulfill the detection task. (2)we implement that parallel framework with MPI library and testify the performance superiority of the parallel system compare with those stand-alone system.
