With the development of electronical science and technology, the miniaturization of antenna is very important to portable communication equipments. LTCC (Low Temperature Co-fired Ceramic, LTCC) technology can efficiently reduce the size and weight of antenna to achieve miniaturization and integration with a high degree of flexibility. With the advantages of small size, light weight, ease in production and integration, the LTCC miniaturized antenna is becoming a research hotspot.In this paper, a LTCC Bluetooth antenna has been studied and designed from a practical engineering application. By the basic theory of Electromagnetic fields and electromagnetic waves, the radiation and radiation field of the antenna is analysised.A new structure of a quarter wavelength monopole antenna is proposed, which has certain symmetry, and is easy to be produced and tested. The main work of this thesis includes: establishment of the basic modle of LTCC and tradiational antenna by HFSS V10, which is a three-dimensional electromagnetic field simulaition software; design of the layout of LTCC antenna according to the manufacturing process is requirement; test of the LTCC antenna.First of all, the principle of the LTCC antenna is analysized. Compared with conventional monopole antenna, LTCC antenna model and simulation in-depth analysis shows that the return loss and frequency characteristics is significantly improved by the new structure,and the pattern and gain characteristics is similar. The LTCC technology not only improves performance, but also greatly reduces the space occupancy.Secondly, considering the particularity of LTCC technology, the layout and process design process are also studied by statistical tests.Design and fabrication process is modified to improve the manufacture accuracy.Finally, the radiation performance of the samples is tested, including emission coefficient, gain and pattern testing. The center frequency is 2450MHz,and the bandwidth of VSWR <2 is 100MHz. The results show that the gain of LTCC antenna is -2dBi, and the reflection coefficient in the operating frequency is -27 dB.
