PCB (Printed Circuit Board) appearance inspection equipment is one of the most important automatic optical inspection instruments. It has many advantages, such as high inspection speed, non-destructive inspection, high-precision. Therefore, it plays an important role in PCB inspection.In this dissertation, the working principle of the PCB appearance inspection equipment and the function of the control system are introduced. The general design scheme of the control system is discussed and finally established. In this system, Infineon single-chip microcontroller is used as the core control unit and CAN bus is applied as the communication network. The control circuits of step motors, servomotors, CAN bus system, switches and sensors are designed, and the corresponding programs are completed by the usage of DAVE and Keil software. Through debugging, the communication with upper computer software is realized. Finally, the transmitting devices, scanning devices and sorting devices take corresponding actions on PCB in terms of the requestions. This system is excellent in speed, real-time and stability. Consequently, the competitive forces of the appearance inspection equipment are enhanced greatly.
