Based On A Peer-to-peer Network Of Auction Subsystem Design And Implementation

As one of the technologies that change the service model of internet, the peer-to-peer technology has been developed rapidly and become an operation and research hotspot, but also a controversial topic. This article will focus on one important branch of P2P field: JXTA technology. The open-source project JXTA is the industry leading P2P platform originally conceived by SUN Microsystems Inc. and designed with the participation of a small but growing number of experts from academic institutions and industry. JXTA establish a virtual network overlay on top of the Internet, allowing peers to directly interact and self-organize independently of their network connectivity and domain topology. Multiple ad hoc virtual networks can be created and dynamically mapped into one physical network unleashing a richer multidimensional virtual network. And research mainly focuses on some primary issues, includes the self-organization of peers without centralized management, the methods of locating specific network resources, communications and inspection manners among peers, delivery of messages across network and how to improve network scalability to avoid some intractable trouble existing in other architectures. All of these topics are challenging tasks of distributed systems, and also the aim and purpose of this article. And I have gained some conclusions and valuable experience.Under the instruction of related theory, I have designed and analyzed a P2P trading system to discuss the design and implement processes of a JXTA based project, include the requirement, analysis, design and development processes. In this section I deeply discussed how to apply JXTA in a project and the advantage of JXTA. After these processes, I have gained a much deeper comprehension of P2P and JXTA in terms of software engineering.
