The digital library is an open platform for information resources, which integrate a variety of hardware and software technologies. Through combing the advanced network communications technology, information resources management technology and user-oriented service implementation technology, digital library can provide real-time, effective, and reliable knowledge-based services for the users. However, with the vigorous development of information technology, many problems are standing out, most of them are network information security hazards. Therefore, how to make digital library information services run security and stability in the complex network environment is the most important problem to be solved in this thesis.The security of digital library Web services is an important technology and theoretical issue. Therefore, systematic study on it will make a great theoretical and practical significance. Based on related research at home and abroad, this issue made study on the topic of network intrusion detection technology in digital library system, and took empirical analysis on the feasibility and the results of application. The content of this paper is divided into five parts. The first chapter, introduction focused primarily on digital library Web services security situation, existing problems and the significance of the research. The second chapter, by studying the working principle and technical features of network Intrusion Detection, the issue explored the applicability of the technology in digital library system. The third chapter, using data mining techniques and methods, by the way of sampling from the running logs of digital library website statistical data, a deep study with cluster analysis and statistical comparisons method was made to obtain a feature data of digital library Web site which can be characterized by normal operation of network services. The forth chapter, by optimizing the open source SNORT intrusion detection software, its detection algorithm was improved with BP neural network and got a gratifying results on its detection rate, false alarm rate and false alarm rate, and this study further built a Web-based digital library of intelligent intrusion detection model on this basis. The fifth chapter, summary and outlook made a summary of the full text, pointing out that the innovation, limitations and future research directions of this study point.The innovation of this issue is to take a study in web services data flow of digital library with an objective method on new perspective, explore the applicability of the network intrusion detection technology based on the summary of its features, and ultimately made an intelligent intrusion detection model for the digital library web site.
