This article mainly discussed the target identification technique of millimeter wave(MMW) active/passive detector. The target identification method is to identify the target from other objects by picking up target's character from gathered data and assorting them with different arithmetic.This article first introduced MMW active detector's(radar) working method and passive detector's(radiometer) working method,then particularly introduced the target identification arithmetic.My work mainly contained several aspects such as:(1) Research of the target identification arithmetic. Chapter 3 presented three arithmetic most used by modern MMW detector,which are wavelet transform, neural network and adaptive filter.And it also did some detail analysis to the three arithmetic in theory.(2) Simulation of the arithmetic.I simulated these arithmetics in MATLAB,using the data received from the MMW radar/radiometer as input,after the processing of the arithmetic.then see whether the result can identify the target from the background,achieve the system's requirement.(3) Programming of the arithmetics and DSP initialization. I used C language to program the arithmetics and initialize DSP.Because it was complicated to program the arithmetic using assemble language,this paper introduced the C programming method of TMS320C54X series DSP.lt included C initialization of DSP and the realize part of the arithmetics.
