Study Of The Statistical Nature Of The Scientific Papers Downloads

The necessity of study of statistical properties of download count of research paper is and main contents of such kind of research which has been performed are discussed in this paper. Based on an empirical research, this paper make a study on the distribution of web downloaded number of journal's, the distribution of downloaded number of paper keywords and the relationship between download number and citation number. This paper points out that Bradford's law and Zipf's law are applicable in network environment. It is proposed that the downloaded indicators should be considered sufficiently as part of the comprehensive evaluation system. At last this paper points out the lack of the thesis and the research direction of the subject future.
