Teaching Management System Design And Implementation

As a base and symbol of social informatization, informatization of teaching affairs management turns to be a general trend for higher education institutions in intellectual economy. As educational reform deepened, education for all-round development carried out, and the college expansion plan unveiled, higher education institutions expand their school scale step by step and the instructional resources become increasingly intense. Experiencing great difficulty in teaching affairs management along with the growth of the number of the students, higher education institutions have been driven to establish teaching affairs management system urgently.This research designs a teaching affairs management system combined with C/S Structure and B/S Structure meeting the needs of teaching affairs managing. It takes ZhongShan College as the research object. The system consists of teaching plan managing, timetable scheduling, school roll managing, score managing, system managing and teaching material managing. The system meets the requirements of teaching affairs management and reduces the staff's workload greatly.The main content of this thesis includes the following parts.(1) The current situation involving the background, achievements and problems of the teaching affairs management is introduced and analyzed. Then the objectives, principles and the general structure of the system are discussed along with the teaching affairs managing process.(2) A teaching affairs managing model combined structures of C/S and B/S is put forward on the base of dissecting the merit and demerit of Client/Server Model and Browser/Server Model in teaching affairs management.(3) The research analyses the requirement and offers a entire design, coding and testing process involving modules of teaching plan managing, school roll managing, test managing, timetable scheduling, score managing, system managing and teaching material managing.(4) Based on SQL Server 2000, the research establishes the system concept, logic and physical data base and fulfills the goal.The system is now developed and yield excellent effect in teaching affairs management application in ZhongShan College.
