Now technology has got into times when many subjects are intersected, infiltrated and influenced with each other, especially in computer science. Adaptive signal processing is to study a class of system with variable or adjustable structure, which improves their signal processing performance through its own contact with the external environment. Evolutionary Algorithm, simulating biological genetic and evolutionary processes in the natural environment, shapes an adaptive optimization search algorithm with strong robustness, which is more and more used in the present optimization domain. In signal processing, in fact, many problems can be attributed to the optimization problem. In this thesis, based on the study of adaptive theory, several key adaptive algorithms, filter structure and the array antenna model were analyzed, and the application of Evolutionary Algorithm in adaptive signal processing was studied, the filter design and optimization of antenna arrays were completed by simulation experiments. The main contents and innovations are summarized as follows:1. An idea of applying Evolutionary Algorithm to the relevant areas of adaptive signal processing was proposed, the basic performance of Evolutionary Algorithm as well as some of improved Evolutionary Algorithm was studied. The filter and antenna array of adaptive signal processing were studied, focusing on the analysis of their optimal design methods. and simulation experiments were made about digital filter design and optimization of antenna array by traditional Evolutionary algorithm.2. An improved adaptive genetic algorithm was proposed in which crossover and mutation probability were through non-linear adaptive adjustment and different evolutionary stages took different parameters, the size of them was adjusted according to the actual situation of populations, so that the populations would tend to converge and the convergence speed and the stable performance would be increased.3. The idea about applying the improved Adaptive Genetic Algorithm to adaptive signal processing was proposed. The algorithm was applied to filter design and optimization of array antenna through simulation experiments, and contrasted with the traditional evolutionary algorithm application in these two areas, and then the superiority of the algorithm description was given.
