Along with the continuous development of robot technology, different types of robots have been gradually used in various fields and start to play an increasingly important role in the society. wireless communication technology which enables more flexible and free action of the robots so that the robots would help human beings to complete some difficult and high-risk work will surely be applied to robots. However, error code and packet loss brought by wireless communication are bound to affect quality and efficiency of the task the robots complete. Therefore, study of error code and packet loss has gradually become a major hot spot in the field of robot study.Under this background, in this paper, a basal study is done in the field of wireless network control technology used for mobile robot. The main task of the paper can be seen asfollows:Firstly, an integral architecture of mobile robot is designed by way of overall analysis of wireless communication system. Then each module in the architecture is designed and debugged, which mainly include power module, wireless communication module, motor driver module, and sensor module.Secondly, wireless communication software and single-chip control software used for mobile robots are developed. As a result, wireless data transmission and state control of mobile robot are achieved. The experimental result indicates that the whole system is in good performance.Another main task of this paper is to study and design the enlargement and improvement of wireless communication protocols. According to the wireless transceiver chip nRF2401 used in this thesis, a wireless communication protocol algorithm is designed in conformity with the wireless control requirements, which is based on the study of original wireless communication protocols. Finally the software development process and the key code for single-chip implement program are given.
