With the advent of the third-generation communication technology, People has also speed up to research the fourth generation of communications technology.The next-generation mobile communications is closer to individual communications than the third-generation mobile communications. It is to achieve the communication of any form on the basis of anyone, any time and any place. OFDM technology has the capacity of high-speed data transmission,efficient spectrum utilization,anti-multipath interference, and the ability to meet the requirements of this means of communication. it will be the key technologies to the next generation of wireless communications technology.channel estimation is the most crucial technology for the quality of communication technology. OFDM channel estimation should not only meet the requirements of faster transfer rate and estimate to be accurate.I classify and sum up the previous channel estimation algorithm for OFDM system in this paper,and found channel estimation of the pilot high precision. The insert pilot will cause the loss of transmission power and reduce the frequency utilization.Blind Channel estimating for OFDM system has too much computation, that limites it appliance. This article summed up a semi-blind channel estimation algorithm that is not only raise the utilization rate, but also increase the amount of useful signal transmission performance and better realization. I find that semi-blind channel estimation has better practical value by the simulation.
