Fire identification software simulation system uses the method of image analysis instead of living firing system. The system consists of image tracking and targeting system, image acquisition and preservation system and Computer Software Identification System. In this paper, we focus on the computer software identification system in order to calculate the coordinates of the cursor cross and extract the target by image processing.In target extraction, paper introduces and compares kinds of threshold segmentation methods, such as P-tile thresholding,local thresholding,optimal thresholding etc, and edge detection methods which include Roberts,sobel,prewitt and canny operators.In coordinates of cursor cross calculation, paper adopt the template matching method. Make a comparative analysis of the advantages and the disadvantages of MAD, SSDA, NCC algorithms etc.The evaluation system is developed by C++ programming language in the circumstance of Windows XP. A large member of experiments indicates that the system is able to accurately deal with the images, analysis and assess the shooting level. The expected function has been realized.
