Streaming Media Service Dos, Ddos Attacks And Defense Program Design

With the spread of Internet,Streaming media application has become one of the most popular applications on it.Stepping with enhancing the performance and stability of streaming media application,more attentions have been put on streaming media application's security problem. Taking the issue that whether DoS,DDoS attacks exist in streaming media application in this paper,we analyze the communication procedure of streaming media application and figure out that it does have this possibility.By using the attack test tool,which is designed and implemented by us,we do a lot of tests.From the quantitative point of view,we get the conclusion that DoS,DDoS attacks exist on streaming media application and point out the impact of variety of attacks on it.After that,we do a lot work on analysis the feasible solution about streaming media application's DoS,DDoS attacks defense.Base on traditional network DoS,DDoS defense strategies and the characteristics of streaming media application itself,we design and implement a defense solution with features including location hiding and load balance.After doing a lot of defense test,according to the test result,we prove that this solution is a good one for handling streaming media application's DoS and DDoS attack problem,it has the advantages of quick response time,high accuracy,high scalability and high adaptability,and it can give better protection for streaming media applications.Also,this solution could be a good reference for many specific streaming media applications 'security programs,like VOD,IPTV etc.
