With the development of computer information technology, informationization, networking and automation technology has been changing the way of university student information management. Network, internationalization and individualization of teaching management has entered the campus. With database technology and computer technology, the university student information system base on the deep analysis of student information management function demand and service demand, it will realize the network management of the whole process of university information management and guarantee the high efficiency and standard of the university student information management quality.Aimed at characteristics of our relatively perfect campus information infrastructure, rich information resources of the campus network and the multi-campus school, designing a fully integrated and suitable for student information management system of our university, accelerating the pace of building the network of university and improving the quality of teaching and management level is emphasis of our university information network developing.The thesis based on the current domestic and international student management information system development, aimed to the deficiencies of educational management system which has been used in our university, combined with requirements of student information management, analyzed the procedures of student management, collected the requirement information of the student information management system . in strict accordance with this method of software engineering to analyzing and designing this system, determined the total structure diagram, E-R diagram, database tables and so on for the system.The system adopts"Browser/Server"system structure. It can reach the information distribution on Web server of the campus network, and visit SQL Server 2005 database through Web server. It has broken away from the concept of the fat customer ending application program in the traditional Customer/Server system structure. Analyze and compare to present prevailing Web database technology, Web database system structure, Web database applying technology and Web database interface technology, B/S structure, ASP.NET technology and ADO.NET technology, that is suitable for the system.
