Radio Frequency Identification Technique is a non-contact automatic identification technique, is becoming very important in various applications.In RFID technique, information transmission between the reader and tag is realized by employing the antenna as transmission and receive device, thus the antenna in the RFID system plays an important role. With the rapid development of RFID technology and, increasingly, a wide range of applications, the RFID antenna research and design have become very urgent. In fact, the development of RFID antenna technique has theoretical and practical value for the RFID technique development and applications. This paper mainly focuses on the RFID tag antenna, and the antenna should have small size, the omni-directional or directional hemispherical coverage and so on.This article prime task content may divide into the following several parts: First, based on the literatures we can found in various technology report, the meander line structure is employed to increase the equivalent electricity size for a fixed physics size, thus size of the antenna is miniaturized. Simulation research has been done for the the antenna model. Reduce the antenna length above 50% goals be realized.Secondly, the multi-frequency band method and band width stretch question of tag antennas is studied. Then separately research the PIFA antenna and IFA antenna. After simulation software's optimization, obtained the radiation performance good RFID tag antenna. The PIFA antenna has realized the dual-frequency resonance. The IFA antenna has research band width stretch question. The IFA antenna's band width undergoes a series of optimized improvement, increases to 520MHz from 310MHz, the effect is remarkable.Finally, the designed tag antenna is applieed in the active RFID system. The factors influence the RFID system effective range has been analyzed, and then effectiveness of the antenna has been experimentally verified in various environments and gets good experiment results.
