In the computer, At present, people are paying more attention to the problem about the generous data storage security, and the problem against the theft and tamper of sensitive data. As the core of the computer information system for Database System, as the integrated information for Database file, their safety will be the top priority of the information industry. The core in the information safety is the Database's Safety, but the Database Encryption is the one central problem of Database Safety. Comparing with other safety ways, Database Encryption is the best one of the safety way on function-value rate, in safety degree/price/safeguard price/promotion price and so on. The thesis is directed at safety in Database System, discussed about tactics in Database safety, encryption technology, algorithm and ways in the encryption, and how to use this technology in University Archives Database.The Security in the University Archives Database is not isolated, is a entire system. According to security needs in current University Archives Database, A practical system was designed for it in this thesis. The entire Database security System is a three-tier mode in security form, that is: the outer defense, the middle detection for invasion, and internal resistance in data security, while the Database Encryption is one of the core issues for internal resistance in Data Security.In this thesis, according to specific needs in business in the Workers University of China Fifth Metallurgical Construction Group, according to the comparison of the various algorithms, the CBC mode of 128-bit AES encryption algorithm are chose to encryption data, and mechanism of encryption or decryption about the complete fields in Database are used, finally a set of practical data encryption system are designed. It's discussed to the character in needs analysis/analysis and design/coding/testing and deployment, in encryption project of the university database, and it is specially discussed to the protection for University Database system in Encryption System, the latent dangerousness brought by itself, and the preparation for this weakness. The key in security of password algorithm are specially discussed—how to guarantee the confidentiality of the key and how to manage for standing the attack in all fields; the code in the main module of system which is key Vault module, key Manifest module, key Manager module, Local Engine module, are achieved and verified in the practical use by using the Java, and giving a definition of the SQL database structure.Through the use of the project in the Workers University of China Fifth Metallurgical Construction Group, the entire system are proved in reasonable design and feasible program, the operational needs can be met. The solving ways are provided for current Database Security with practical value and significance in market. Today, Database safety is as important as DOS, Internet Safety and CPU. Database Safety will be specially important. Based on it, the lines and the scheme in Database Encryption Technique will be further discussed and researched.
