Measuring the correlations of frequency hopping sequences is to measure the differentiation between frequency hopping sequences. Right now, the Hamming correlations is used to measure the correlations of frequency hopping sequences, but it can not accurately measure the differentiation between frequency hopping sequences, and limits the Synchronization performance of frequency hopping communication, so the thesis bring out a new method called Energy correlations to measure the differentiation of frequency hopping sequences by calculating the overlap energy of frequency hopping signals.The thesis first described the concepts of frequency hopping (FH) communication and its key technologie——FH acquisition (coarse synchronization). Then bringing out the synchronization method: FFT Parallel acquisition by sending synchronization information in a preamble. This method relays on measuring the correlations of the FH sequences of the sender and receiver preamble. This thesis brings out Energy correlations to measure the correlations of the FH sequences, and applicates it in FH acquisition.In this thesis, the simulations of Hamming correlations and Energy correlations applicated in the FH acquisition process are implemented by MATLAB, and the simulation results in AWGN channel show: The performance of FH acquisition used Energy correlations are better than used Hamming correlations in the same signal-to-noise ratio. The advantage of Energy correlations is gaind, and proves the Energy correlations can measure the correlations of FH sequences better than Hamming correlations.
