Microwave filter is widely used in radar,communication,electronic countermeasures, and so on.Nowadays,there is no perfect microwave system without microwave filter or its similar structures.There are many kinds of microwave filters with various performances have been used in different applications.Because miniaturization and integration is the main requirement of modern weapon system,the receive front of modern radar reconnaissance devices should be small and light,together with the excellent electronic performaces.Therefore,how to realize the wideband microwave filter is one of the key techniques.Suspended substrate stripline(SSS),its major portion of the electromagnetic field is confined to the air gaps between the dielectric substrate and the ground planes.The microwave filters implemented by using SSSs have important features such as high Q factor, low insertion loss,high selectivity,high reliability,and suitability for mass production.So SSS is the best choice of the planar transmission-line structure for ultra-broad bandpass filters and multiplexer.Based on the theory of modern network synthesize,and using the software of electromagnetic simulation tool,Ansoft,this thesis gives the particular description of the design method for SSS ultra-broad bandpass filters and multiplexer.Moreover,a series of ultra-broad bandpass filters which covers the 2-18GHz frequency band has been produced.They have excellent features,such as miniaturization,low loss, high selectivity,wide stopband and convenient for manufacture and mass production.The 2-18GHz ultra-broad band multiplexer also have good performances as overseas product, which being well satisfied with some engineering application.The technique discussed in this thesis has high value in practice,which will lighten the workload of debugging and shorten the project's period.
