The Study, Based On The Rsync Heterogeneous Environmental Data Synchronization Mechanism

The development of information system make hardware platform and operating system heterogeneous and complicated, a variety of OS have a certain distinction on storing data files,so it become an obstacle to data access, uploading and downloading, data management and application development on the entire information system, result in that it can't be achived data synchronization for heterogeneous multi-platform.By remote transmission of data files and remote data backup, it can make data files quick Synchronization under heterogeneous environment, and achieve efficient, error-free data integration.Ror the situation of scattered bases and heterogeneous environment of data management in the data platform of national Special environment and disaster,How to achieve data synchronization from the station platforms to the data center,is a problem of Data management, which is necessary settled. Based on this issue,in this article, use Rsync Synchronous data transmission technology which is conmomly surpported by Unix,Linux and Windows, realize data synchronization under the heterogeneous environment, Overcome delay of data synchronization result in slow speed network.By the research Rsync's basic applications on network, built data synchronization system under distributed environment,achieve data synchronization among different OS send data files to the data center, solve the problem that it can't be remote synchronization under the heterogeneous environment,by incremental file transfer technology,Improve the efficiency of data files synchronization, put forward a new synchronization mechanism.In this article, first of all,introduced the background of the subject and meaning of research, analyse the problem of synchronization under the heterogeneous environment at present, and compare several characteristics of the way about data synchronization, identify the content and aim of this article. Second, introduced the basic theory of data synchronization under heterogeneous environment, analyse relationship between the data backup and data synchronization, as well as the requirements for data synchronization under heterogeneous environment, study Rsync in the application of data synchronization, analyse checksum algorithm about comparisonthe of data file attributes in Rsync, introduce the process of incremental data synchronization. to ensure the security of data transmission,use a method which combine Rsync and SSH. Finally, for the project needs, designe data synchronization module which is used under the heterogeneous environment,and test it on data synchronization system which is built in this project.The data synchronization mechanism proposed in this article has settled the problem of data synchronization under the heterogeneous environment, achieved the expected goals.
