Computer Forensics is a technology to provide thorough effective and safety evidence about how to investigate computer-related crime. Compare to the general evidence of a crime, digital evidence has different characteristics, such as invisible, high-tech, complex, multiplex external manifestations, easy to destructive, with mass storage and other features. So it's difficult to obtain them and to ensure their legal effect in computer criminal cases and other computer crime-related criminal cases. Derived there from, the research of computer forensics as a computer science and law of a cross-disciplinary research ---- Computer Forensics Research is becoming the focus of research.Basing on substantial literature, this article introduces an overview of computer forensics, the characteristics of digital evidences, the principles and steps of computer forensics, the research of digital evidences to protect the safety at home and abroad, as well as problems and future development trend. This paper proposal a computer forensics system, and make functional design accordance to the requirements of justice. The computer forensic system is divided into five modules: data protection module, data analysis module, evidence extraction module, the evidence hidden and transmission, and secure storage of evidence. Another this paper regulates computer forensics procedures, and further improve the process of judicial evidence, and technically, to provide a complete and effective steps and tools of forensics. Personal views and understanding are put forward for the computer forensics technology in the future development.After concluding the existing computer forensics technology, this article in Chapters IV and V specially studies secure transmission and secure storage problem during computer forensics process, and designs safety digital evidences storage devices based on Flash disk, also gives full consideration to the security of digital evidences storage and transmission from both hardware and software, which make sure to digital evidences compliance with legal requirements, but also make the computer forensics tool more standard and specialized. It's a major highlights of this article on secure storage peripherals design, which has completed the safety of Flash disk storage system hardware design, and the USB Communication Transfer Protocol is in the process of research software firmware research. Through the research, it can make safe Flash disk storage system's security level to meet international standards. This digital evidences has high reference value for the research of security of storage devices.
