| Wiki-based websites record the change of our civilization in a real, detailed, comprehensive and concise manner, as well as people's understanding of it in an accurate time line. Besides, such multilingual Wiki-based sites as Wikipedia present to their visitors different understandings by different cultures on the same incident, historical event or trend at the same time. For the sake of scientific research and public interests, Professor Zhang Yi-Cheng of University of Fribourg, Switzerland proposed the initialization of Dadipedia project.Dadipedia is a novel network information accumulation platform synthesizing a variety of web 2.0 elements, and it is also an encyclopedia in which geographic information is provided and composed freely by all the netizens. Everyone can have his wonders shared by all others by writing into Dadipedia what he saw or heard and his feelings. The Chinese version of Dadipedia will spring and grow first in China. As the project manager of Dadipedia project team, the author analyzed the Wiki elements and SNS in Web 2.0, and studied out an implementation scheme for Dadipedia's step-by-step development in China by exploiting the advantages of the two and according to the existence and development condition of domestic web 2.0 websites. In addition, the author also tried to propose a dual and complementary development mode of"geographic"Wiki and"human"SNS for Dadipedia, which is to be implemented along with the Project team to further promote and bring forth the Dadipedia project initialized by Professor Zhang Yi-Cheng. In this way, Dadipedia can theoretically extend the geographic and human territories on both ends in a tree structure, realizing their complementary geometrical scale growth. We have grown out of simply doing a Wiki-based Dadipedia platform into developing a Wiki-based Dadipedia platform involving some SNS functions fit for Chinese user accumulation.Admittedly, it is not an easy job to develop a platform containing so large amount of geometric information in a well-arranged order. As the project manager of Dadipedia project team, the author analyzed the Wiki and SNS in Web 2.0, and studied out a new solution by considering the project requirement and its Chinese version's operation in China. The author will strive to bring Dadipedia into implementation with the project team under the guidance of Professor Zhang Yi-Cheng.After requirement analysis, systematic analysis and overall design, the Dadipedia project team determined the development tools and the background data base type, which means that the classic combination LAMP in this field has been selected. Based on the requirement analysis and systematic analysis, the author worked with the project team and classified the topics into three categories and 19 basic modules in the overall design. Iterative development is also employed in successive stages to achieve demanded functions by programming. |
