Image-based modeling and rendering is a fascinating technique in recent years,And now it is also the essential technique in the field of walking through virtual scene. It is the most remarkable that IBMR can overcome the deficiency of traditional geometry-based modeling and rendering technique. And IBMR can realize photorealistic modeling and walking through in the computer with common computational capability.Single image reconstruction technology is the most simplified method of image modeling, which uses human's experience to achieve image vanishing points interactively and calculate camera parameter via geometry method. This technology can simplify calculation and reduce programming complexity. It has its unique advantages. This thesis addresses the issues of calibrating from a single image, reconstructing 3D models of the scene, rectifying texture from the photograph and mapping rectified texture. The main content of this thesis is as follows:(1)With a given in-door scene this thesis puts forward a modeling method of special scene based on single view image which applies to some scenes especially scenes containing man-made buildings. This method is based on Projective Geometry and Affine Geometry, we introduced the fundamental principle of modeling techniques, compared the camera model between Computer Vision and Digital Photogrammetry and discussed some knowledge of Projective Geometry and Stratification Reconstruction.(2)In the scheme of rectifying and mapping texture, this thesis presents an improved method which is based on the theory of stratified reconstruction of 3D vision and combines the features of texture mapping function of OpenGL.Texture images which are extracted from the photograph are changed into square images with 2n side length. Then the texture images are mapped into the surfaces of simple 3D models. So we can obtain photorealistic 3D models.
