Look To The Content-based Image Retrieval Technology And Its Application

Due to the development of the computer software and hardware and Internet techniques,the multimedia technologies rapid development,there comes out a mass of digital images,the content-based image retrieval(Content-Based Image Retrieval,CBIR) technology came into being,and become a research hotspot.CBIR is a similarity fuzzy search technology,which automatically extract each image characteristics of the Visual content as part of its indexing,query will run that be based image similarity for visual features.The key technologies of content-based image retrieval system contain a lot of aspects.At present,the investigation of CBIR technologies mainly based on low-level descriptor such as color,texture and shape etc,the content-based image retrieval has not high validity.1.In this paper,lots of work has been done around some key technologies of CBIR.The main work of this paper are summarized as follows:The:technical background of CBIR,some key technologies and the present and future of CBIR are discussed;2.To analyse the framework and principles of content-based image retrieval system;3.Research on the key technologies of CBIR:Color-based image retrieval:The space model of color,quantitative methods and the extraction algorithms of color feature by color histogram,the main color and the color matrix;Texture-based image retrieval:To analyse the visual characteristics,to study the texture features extraction methods by co-occurrence matrix,auto-correlation function,Fourier and wavelet transform;shape-based image retrieval:Research on Fourier-based shape description methods,Invariant moments and other methods;Image retrieval by spatial relationships:Research on the grids model,the quadtrees model,the 9-intersection model and the point-set models and other methods;Research on the methods of semantic-based image retrieval and integrated more features. 4.Combination of the research of content-based image retrieval has designed a framework of the image retrieval system that integration of semantic image retrieval in the field of E-commerce,and has done a prospect that content-based image retrieval technologys apply to the future.
