The appearance of Internet and the widely use of computers opennew avenues to the acquisition, the exchange and even the diffusion ofthe digital multimedia data. In the meantime, the problems of networksafety come up. Anybody can stand to gain, reproduce and rework theoriginal works by Internet, which seriously infringe on the copyright ofthe authors. Nowadays, the copyright protection of digital product, such practical problem, calls for immediate action. Under suchcircumstances, watermarking technology has emerged accordingly. It isthe technique that proves the owner of copyright by using thewatermark, which is embedded in the original work.This paper presented a useful new algorithm of digital image scrambling. It achieves space chaos of an image with a Pseudo-Random Sequence generated by linear congruential method, and achieves gray chaos by XOR operation. This algorithm's secret keys are different to each other, and they are in many types, and the histogram is also different to the original image's histogram, so it's difficult to Crack the encrypted image by Exhaustive method. On the other hand, the Decryption method is easy to obtain, and the Decryption process is irrelative with the encryption cycle, so it shorten the time consuming of Decryption greatly. The results of experiment indicated that, this algorithm plays a good performance in Anti-attack and anti-jamming, and what's more, it's easy to be realized, so it is an ideal method for image scrambling.
