An Active Mechanism Of Broadcast Data Filter Rules Conflict Management

Data broadcast is a new field of information service in recent years. It is a new dissemination tool which integrates the internet and broadcast television networks. It can take every web site as source. Its channel is digital television, and it pushes all the content of a web site to customers..With the develepment of the data broadcast, there is a demand for a system which can help customer to select what he wants from the large quantity of information.Based on the Active Broadcast Data Filtering and Receiving System (ABDFRS), our project aims to research and implement a mechanism which can manage conflicts automatically. Conflicts among rules are common phemonena in large rule systems, therefore to design an automatic conflict-managing mechanism is a must when designing the ABDFRS. This paper proposes a conflict-processing mechanism based on action constraints and gives the correlative deduction and algorithms. This mechanism detects by action constraints and resolves conflicts at the level of rule exections. Since existing conflict-managing mechanisms all suffer the defect of insufficient expression power, we expand the descriptions of the types of action constraint relationships to satisfy the needs of active broadcast systems.Finally, this paper shows a developing example implementing the conflict-managing mechanism, and some experiments verifying the correctness and practicability of the conflict-managing mechanism.
