This paper discussed the applied actuality of data mining technology in the power plant of electric power system. And found that there is a most widely space among the development of the data-mining technology in the field of the electric power system.A large number of datas are collected in the history database of the power plant. There is lots of valuable information, which benefits to enhancing the economic performance and safety of the power plant, hidden behind of the data. In this paper, data mining techniques based on the association ruls are applied to make full use of the function of history datas so as to direct electric power production.Firstly, in this paper, the classical mining method on boolean association rules Apriori is studied. Then the fuzzy association rules Fuzzy_Apriori is studied. Lastly, the fuzzy association rules algorithm based on clustering is applied to abstract rules from the operation data in the boiler system of some plant and mine the target value of the flue gas oxygen content in some load. The target value accords with the quantitatively-calculated value and consequently demonstrates the efficiency that the data mining technologies based on association rules are applied to the plant's operation optimization.
