Moving object detection and tracking in image sequences is the main research field in computure vision. Identifying moving objects from a image sequence is a fundamental and critical task in many computer-vision applications. Surveillance video captured by static camera is becoming more and more widespread in the modern society, and it has brought huge change for people's life. It mainly applies in many domains such as identity recognition and intelligence guarding in security,vehicles license plate recognition and traffic flow analysis in intelligence traffic system, cell movement rule analysis in medicine examination, hostile target track in military combat, trainingdata analysis in sports training, etc.This paper firstly introduces image sequences and image difference. Then after analyzing and studying classical object detection methods,put forward the object detection algorithm of background subtract method combined with morphology method , the object detection using background subtraction constrained by total variation model and the object detection algorithm using backguound subtraction combined with frames subtraction constrained by total variation model. Lastly,after introducing some tracking methods,make good use of kalman filter method in center tracking. This method fairly meets the need of tracking in this paper.
