Along with the great development of the Internet, IP technology and IP network are a great success. A large number of intranets are built, including various business networks, campus networks, as well as"virtual private network"for e-government. Telecom operators also are building the"carrier-class"IP network as a public transport network to carry various carrier-class businesses, including VoIP, IPTV. However, as the"non-deterministic"feature of IP network performance, want to use the IP network to carry these carrier-grade business with strict quality of service requirements, we must provide a mechanism to allow users believe that the service performance provided is guaranteed. At the same time, as the rapid development of Internet, enterprises have had increasingly dependencies on business services on the network. The services offered by operators and service providers are increasingly influencing the fulfillment of enterprise's business targets. Enterprises are increasingly concerning about the guarantee of service performance. SLA provides a solution to this issue. SLA contains a series of QoS parameters, determined by service providers and customers through negotiation. After a SLA contract achieved between service provider and customer, the service provider need to monitor the relevant service performance parameters and generate the corresponding SLA report. For a long time, SLAs have focused almost solely on the performance of the supporting network. However, an accelerating trend towards service-focused management has led to the requirement of a new'breed'of indicators that focus on service quality rather than network performance. In the thesis, following this trend, discussed the SLA parameters of business services and their measuring method. This thesis first discussed the SLA parameter model and the hierarchy model. Then, according to the service-focused management trend, we discussed the SLA parameters of business services, especially the SLA parameters of Web services and FTP services, and designed the monitoring methods. As servers running business applications directly related to the performance of business services, the paper also discussed server's running state monitoring. After that, the discussed contents were achieved, which provided an effective attempt to the monitoring of business service's SLA parameters. Finally, this thesis presented the test results in actual environment of campus network, and gave the analysis.
