Based Pda Mobile Workflow Terminal System Design And Implementation

The traditional workflow is a serial tasks and the executive processes for a certain goal. Nowadays, the workflow system orients new research directions bec-ause of the development of mobile communication. Workflow, which is now focu-sing on the concepts, the standards and the engines, will concentrate upon clientside in the future.Its most outstanding characteristic is the combination of mobilecommunication and current distribute workflow system. The mobile workflow, wh-ich is introduced in the paper, will not only automatically send the related data and contents to users' PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) but also return users' fee-dbacks to server through multimedia messages. By doing so, the work can be co-mpleted so that the workflow can be on the move. The essence of the solution in this paper is to extend the workflow to wireless device (PDA) through SMS(Short Messaging Service) and MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service), so that pe-ople can work anytime and anywhere.This paper studies the traditional workflow deeply and the advanced mobile communication technologies. It puts forward a new idea-mobile workflow conside-ring traditional workflow's limitation. This mobile workflow is designed and real-ized based on SMS,GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) and PDA.The main work includes:1. To do deep research on the workflow, including its standards, design me-thods and realization technologies. Then put forward the mobile workflow.2. To do deep study in the key technologies of the terminal side in the m-obile workflow such as PDA development technology, mobile communication tec-hnologies(including SMS mechanism and GPRS(General Packet Radio Service)co-mmunication) SMS trusteeship technology and wireless security technologies.3. To design and realize the mobile workflow terminal system, deploy the application and test it. Then analyze the testing result and finally point out the f-uture work.
